Contraindications
Microneedling is not suitable for everyone. A full consultation and skin assessment will be completed before your first treatment to ensure the programme is appropriate for you.
Microneedling may not be suitable if you:
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have an active skin infection, cold sore, open wound or active inflammation in the treatment area
• Have active, severe or inflamed acne in the treatment area
• Have a history of poor wound healing or keloid scarring
• Have a bleeding or clotting disorder
• Are taking medication that significantly affects blood clotting or healing
• Are undergoing certain medical treatments or taking medication that may affect skin healing
• Have had recent injectable or other aesthetic treatments in the area being treated
• Have recently undergone a chemical peel, laser treatment or other procedure that has not yet fully healed
• Have a condition or medication that may affect your ability to heal safely
