The Busy Womens Guide To Skincare Bliss

In the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, taking a moment for self-care is often something that we sacrifice. I get that with running the day-to-day life of the salon, and being a wife and mum to two children at times my self-care can slip and it certainly impacts my well-being.

But what if I told you that a simple yet effective skincare routine not only fits seamlessly into your schedule but can also have a big impact on your well-being? Let me share with you some of my tips for a simple, effective daily skincare routine that will take no more than five minutes.

The Busy Woman's Guide to Skincare Bliss

1. Simple Cleansing:

Start with a gentle cleanser suited to your skin type. Cleanse your skin in the morning remove it with a warm face cloth and then repeat in the evening. Double cleanse in the evening as this will remove the day's impurities.

2. Hydration Heroes:

Hydration is key! During the colder months, our skin can become drier, irritated, and dehydrated. Along with the external factors our hormones, diet, and lifestyle can impact our skin. Investing in a hyaluronic acid serum and drinking at least 2 litres of water a day with help to keep your skin hydrated and nourished.

3. Moisturiser:

Moisturisers create a protective barrier on the skin's surface, preventing water loss and maintaining optimal hydration levels. This is particularly important in the winter months to help keep the skin nourished and protected.

4. Sunscreen, Rain or Shine: In the UK, the sun doesn't always make a grand appearance, but harmful UV rays do. Make sunscreen a daily habit to protect your skin, rain or shine. It's your secret weapon against premature aging and keeps your skin healthy and happy. make sure you choose a high broad SPF that filters the UVA and UVB rays. Little tip if you work by a window still apply your SPF as those rays will still come through the windows. Remember plants still grow indoors.
